Mrs. Sherri Buck Chrismon, age 48, a resident of 306 Beech Lane, Washington died Wednesday morning April 17, 2013 at Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

    Mrs. Sherri Buck Chrismon, age 48, a resident of 306 Beech Lane, Washington died Wednesday morning April 17, 2013 at Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

    A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Friday April 19, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Washington officiated by Dr. Jimmy Moore. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Cody Chrismon, Nick Cordon, Derek Cordon, Jim Phillips, Taylor Buck, Ben Windley and David Rushin will serve as pallbearers.

    Sherri was born in Beaufort County on April 18, 1964, daughter of Delon Hodges Buck and Olga Jean Dixon Buck. She was a 1983 graduate of Washington High School. In 1986, she graduated from the Radiology Department at Pitt Community College. She furthered her education at the Medical School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and in 1989 graduated from the Nuclear Medicine Program. She was employed as a nuclear medicine technologist for 23 years with Pitt Memorial Hospital/Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Sherri was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington. On October 7, 1989, she married Douglas Eric Chrismon.

    In addition to her husband and her parents, Sherri is survived by her daughters, Erica Ann Chrismon and Alison Grace Chrismon; her sister, Brenda Buck Phillips and husband James W. Phillips; her brother, Joe Taylor Buck; her nieces, Caroline Phillips and Meredith Rawls and her nephews, Jim Phillips and Taylor Buck. She is also survived by the beloved Chrismon family, who were as dear as her immediate family and whose love and support she cherished throughout her life.

    The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.

    Memorials may be made in Sherri Buck Chrismon's name to the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, 1209 Brown Street, Washington, NC 27889.
