Katherine Pauline Williams | Eastern NC Now

    Katherine Pauline (McCraw) Williams, age 80, a long-time resident of Washington, NC died Wednesday August 23, 2023 at home.

    A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday August 26, 2023 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in the Garden of the Trinity (161 Avon Ave., Washington, NC) and will be officiated by Rev. Jonathan Knox.

    The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

    Kathey graduated from Antelope HS in Wellton, AZ and became a licensed cosmetologist. She later moved with family to Washington, NC where she was a skilled seamstress and masterful homemaker. She was an avid reader, craftsman, and cook. Kathey was a lifelong and faithful member of Emmanuel FWB Church, where she was active to share the good news of the Gospel of Christ.

    Kathey is survived by son, Mark Barnes (Julie); daughter, Yvetta Washburn (Rusty); daughter, Kim Taffer (Edward); 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother, Joe McCraw and sister, Nancy Anders and many lifelong friends.

    She is preceded in death by her father, Fred McCraw; mother, Pearlie McCraw, and husband Rufus Williams.
