Pay-to-Play Perry strikes again
As Republican voters scratch their heads over why some of the major RINOs in the General Assembly are pushing non-Republican ideas like promoting casinos and marijuana, the answer is that too many RINOs are more interested in special interest cash than they are in what the voters back home want and don't want.
A group that tracks the legislature has just released a list of the top recipients of special interest money from casino and marijuana interests, many of those contributors from out of state, and many who never gave to NC legislators before. One of those at the top of the list of recipients of casino and marijuana money is our own RINO state senator Jim Perry, who is no stranger to corrupt pay-to-play politics.
RINO Perry took $25,100 from casino and marijuana interests, the third highest in the legislature. That is what Beaufort, Craven and Lenoir counties have representing us.
It was not just RINOs who took these corrupt payments. The Democrat leader in the NC House also got a wad from them.

This is not RINO Jim Perry's first rodeo in cashing in with special interest money to betray the interests of his constituents. Earlier this session, Perry took a huge payday from Big Medicine special interests to back the Obamacare Medicaid expansion, in spite of the Republican executive committee for the local congressional district passing a unanimous resolution asking him to vote against it. With Perry, money talks and the interests and positions of his constituents get ignored.
The same was true with the North Carolina Green New Deal, HB951, which will greatly increase electric bills for citizens but fits the ESG agenda of "woke" utility monopoly Duke Energy. Perry got a big payday from woke Duke Energy and from the wind and solar grifters, and was very active in pushing their agenda against the interests of electric consumers.
Jim Perry is little more than a prostitute for the special interests. He will keep turning tricks for them as long as the money keeps flowing.

Sen. Jim Perry ought to mount a red light above his Senate office door, he is such a prostitute for the special interests. He is an embarassment to eastern North Carolina and to the Republican Party.
