Modelled on Presideint Eisenhower's Operation Wetback

While Israel and some of the new conservative governments in Europe are stepping up deportation of illegal aliens, President Trump has pledged that when he returns to the White House, he will implement the largest illegal alien deportation operation in US history.  He will model it after President Eisenhower's mass deportation of illegal aliens in the 1950s which was officially known as Operation Wetback.

Prime Minister Netanyahu in Israel has started a two step process, paying illegal aliens a bounty to voluntarily leave, and after a deadline those who do not will be arrested and deported.  He has pledged that every illegal alien will be removed from Israel.

The Israelis are serious about kicking out the illegals, and Trump is, as well. Even the Swedes are ramping up deportations of illegals.

Given the procedural cost of deportation, I think Isreal, Sweden, and some other countries are smart to offer the illegals a payment and a ticket to go home on their own. It is cheaper and it speeds things up. We also need to follow the examples of Hungary, Greece, and Latvia to put troops on the border with robust rules of engagement to use force to stop illegals from entering. Those countries have used guns, but even if it is just water cannon like Poland, it can be effective.

I have absolute confidence that either Trump or deSantis will take strong action on deportation. The rest of the field are maybes. All of them need to step up and makea public what they will do on the needed mass deportation.
