Vice President Kamala Harris went public on Wednesday with the Biden administration's newest project - a National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia - in the wake of increasing and escalating anti-semitic threats and attacks in the United States and worldwide.

"Taking on hate is a national priority. Today, @POTUS and I are announcing the country's first National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia. This action is the latest step forward in our work to combat a surge of hate in America," Harris shared in a post on X, along with a brief video.

In the video, Harris touted the fact that President Joe Biden and his administration had already put together a National Strategy to Counter Anti-semitism - which they announced earlier this year - but made no mention of how it was being implemented, especially as anti-semitic attacks have risen dramatically in the weeks since Hamas terrorists killed more than 1,400 Israelis, many of them civilians.

Instead, Harris focused on the apparent threat of Islamophobia: "For years, Muslims in America and those perceived to be Muslim have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks. As a result of the Hamas terrorist attack in Israel and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, we have seen an uptick in anti-Palestinian, anti-Arab, anti-semitic, and Islamophobic incidents across America, including the brutal attack of a Palestinian-American woman, who is Muslim, and the killing of her 6-year-old son."

Critics questioned the timing of the announcement, especially since the anti-semitic incidents on college campuses reached a boiling point when Jewish students received death threats at Cornell University and were forced to hide inside a locked library at New York City's Cooper Union.

"Jews are getting locked inside of libraries and told to hide in attics," Stephen Miller said.

"There's been an outbreak of antisemitism like we haven't seen since before WWII, so here comes Kamala Harris to the rescue," Frank Fleming added.

"In the aftermath of the mass murder of Jews by genocidal maniacs, and college campuses revealed to be full of antisemites loudly marching and terrorizing Jews, Democrats have found the real problem: Too many people not liking Islam," another posted.

"Antisemitism on the rise like it's the 1930's. And this is Biden's move..." Jason Butrill said.
