Marion Yurchik, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Greendale Forest.

Marion was born in Jersey City, NJ, graduating from St. Michael's High School where she was a fine student, particularly in English, and very proud of the Perfect Attendance Medal she earned. Passing up an interior design scholarship, Marion chose to marry her teenage sweetheart, Frank Pisano. They began their married life in Frankfurt, Germany, where Frank was stationed with the US Army. In Frankfurt their first child, Francis (Frank), was born. Upon return to the states, Marion lived in East Brunswick, NJ, and then moved to Monroe Township, NJ, where she was a resident for many years. Marion spent her last year's residing in Washington, NC, with her son and daughter in-law. Marion was a woman ahead of her time, balancing a career and family. She worked with great proficiency and diligence, excelling as an administrative assistant at NJECN and IREX, then later at H&R Block. Marion had an excellent hand at decorative arts, painting with exacting detail treasured ceramic pieces. Being a mother and grandmother was her greatest joy.

She was a devoted mother to her two children Frank and Cheryl. She loved her grandsons, David, John-Tyler, Matthew Morris, and Michael Pisano with her whole heart. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Frank, by her siblings, Helen Shustowicz, Margaret Lobo, and George Yurchik; and by her nephew Richard Shustowicz. She served lovingly as the matriarch of the family and leaves cherished memories to her son, Frank Pisano and his wife Rebecca of Washington, NC, to her daughter Cheryl Morris and husband Steven of Castle Rock, CO, to four grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. And she leaves her beloved companion Lucky.

Donations in her memory may be sent to: The Hydrocephalus Association, 4340 East West Highway, Suite 905, Bethesda, MD 20814-4447 In honor of John-Tyler Morris.

Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.paulfuneralhome.com

Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington is honored to serve Marion's family.
