Democrat plant seeks to succeed Folwell as NC State Treasurer on GOP line | Eastern NC Now

solid conservative Folwell running for governor

ENCNow

In 2020, Bradley Blaise Briner voted in the Democratic primary.  Now, just four years later, Briner is running in the Republican primary for State Treasurer to try to succeed conservative stalwart Dale Folwell who is vacating that office to run for governor.

Briner, a Chapel Hill resident, is employed by one of the organizations of Democrat former New York Mayor and strident anti-gun activist Michael Bloomberg, where he has worked for years.  Briner's immediate boss is Steven Rattner who was Obama's auto industry bailout czar and a big advocate of ESG, which invests based on ideology instead of return on investment.

Briner has served on the UNC-CH Board of Trustees where he has done absolutely nothing to counter the rabid wokeness at that institution.

Blaine was recruited to run for State Treasurer by liberal Republican consultant Jim Blaine, who is close to liberal GOP Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger.  Berger has done the heavy lifting for major items of liberal Governor Roy Cooper's agenda.

Running in the primary for the GOP nomination for Treasurer are longtime GOP activist and former 6th Congressional District GOP chairman, businessman A.J. Daoud, and Winston-Salem CPA Rachel Johnson wife of former NC Superintendant of Public Instruction Mark Johnson.  Both have solid Republican and reasonably conservative credentials.

Briner is one of the big time RINOs we need to stop in the March primary, but hardly the only one. There is a cesspool of liberal GOP consultants polluting our primaries with phonies like this, Jim Blaine, Paul Shumaker, and Dee Stewart to name the three worst.
