Timothy Vann Selby | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Timothy Vann Selby, age 59, a resident of Belhaven, NC died Friday February 23, 2024, at ECU Health Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday February 25, 2024, at Bethany Methodist Church officiated by Steven Mills. Pallbearers will be Mike Brittian, Terry Credle, Mayo Credle, Jr., Howell Sparrow III, David Davis, and Greg Davis. The family will receive friends following the service.

    Timmy was born in Belhaven on January 22, 1965, son of the late Ottis Erroll Selby and the late Joan Davis Selby. He was a graduate of John A. Wilkinson High School and continued his education at Martin Community College where he received his associate degree in HVAC, "heating, ventilation and air conditioning." On November 5, 1993, he married the former Georgie Anne Cordon who survives. Timmy was a true outdoorsman! He had been the owner and operator of his own sawmill. While at PCS Corporation in Aurora he was a heavy equipment operator in the mine. He loved hunting but was happiest when he was on the water working as a commercial fisherman.

    Surviving along with his wife Georgie of the home are his daughters: Savanna Selby Simmons and her husband Adam of Plymouth, Caroline Drake and her husband Nathan of Washington, and Brigette Elzey of New Bern; and his grandchildren: Jovi Simmons, Nolan Drake, and Julianne Drake. He was predeceased, along with his parents, by two brothers: Daniel Clifton Selby, Sr., and Erroll Ken Selby; and a stepfather: Ed Craft.
