Candace Cameron Bure announced a new movie franchise on Wednesday and said she "can't wait" for everyone to watch it on her faith-based Great American Family television network.

The 47-year-old actress shared a Deadline headline on her Instagram that read, "Great American Family To Launch Its Own Mystery Movie Franchise; Candace Cameron Bure Starrer To Kick Off Series."

"Mystery SOLVED!" Bure captioned her post. "Great American Mysteries are coming to Great American Family in 2024!! Catch [TheAinsleyMcGregorMysteries: A Case for the Winemaker] this year starring [Aaron Ashmore] [Robin Dunne] and me- I can't wait for you all to see it."

"There's nothing more exciting for me than being back in the cozy mystery genre," Bure, CEO of Candy Rock Entertainment, added. "Mysteries are so fun to watch and to try to solve. I hope our faithful fans and audiences fall in love with the townspeople of Sweet River, Texas, and Ainsley McGregor's keen eye for solving mysteries."

"In this next-level mystery series, the family dynamics and developing relationships alone should keep you coming back for more!" Bure continued.

President & CEO of Great American Media Bill Abbott said, "We are thrilled to be in the business of telling fun, light-hearted stories featuring great characters, strong stories, and a fun side of the mystery genre that fits perfectly with our licensed series strategy."

"Our cozy mysteries are crafted in the heritage of the classic storytelling that has evolved since Agatha Christie coined the term in the 1930s and set the stage for one of the most popular genres of entertainment," he added.

According to Deadline, the first mystery movie in the series will be based on Candace Havens' best-selling book by the same name.

Bure joined GAF in 2022, where she develops, produces, and stars in movies and TV shows broadcast on the network. The former "Full House" star previously said she left Hallmark because she wanted to share "faith-filled" stories "that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them."

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Bure talked about her decision to leave Hallmark for GAF.

"I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment," Bure said, noting that Hallmark had essentially become "a completely different network" than when she signed on due to a "change of leadership."
