Corinna Jill Cox | Eastern NC Now

    Corinna Jill Cox, age 60, a resident of Bath, NC, entered into rest on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at her home.

    Corinna was born in Beaufort County on February 24,1964, daughter of the late Larry Gene Cox and Rebecca Susan Moore. She attended Bath High School. Corinna loved working with flowers, arranging them and growing them. She was a florist at heart. Before working as a florist, Corinna was a bus driver for Bath Elementary School, where she made many friends and memories. Having loved to laugh, she was also a practical joker, leaving many with funny memories and stories to remember her by. She enjoyed the outdoors, being on the water, soaking up the sun and visiting the beach. Corinna never met a stranger, quick to express kind words or share stories. Above all else, her children and family held a special place in her heart.

    Survivors include her mama, Rebecca Moore of Bath; daughters, Dawn Harper and Karlee Squires of Stokes; grandchildren, SrA Ashten Harper and Zack Harper; two brothers, David Harding and Timmy Cox; two sisters, Melissa Cox and Teresa Mayle; and her two beloved cats, Bunny and Dove.

    She is preceded in death by her son, Casey Squires, and her dad, Larry Cox.

    The family will receive friends Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington. A graveside service will be held privately at a later date. Pallbearers include David Harding, Timmy Cox, Ashten Harper, Zack Harper, Tevin Jackson and Logan Howle.
