Former "open borders" Swedish politician now supports mass deportation | Eastern NC Now

One hopes that American politicians who have supported open borders will also see the light and come to their senses.

In the 2015 European migrant crisis, Louise Meijer, a member of parliament for the Moderate Party , was one of the most outspoken leaders of the "Refugees Welcome" movement.  Now, she tells Swedish media that after seeing the results, she has changed her mind and supports not only very strict laws to keep illegal alien migrants out of the country, but also mass deportation of those already there.

"The change that Sweden has undergone and is undergoing is fundamentally changing the country," Meijer declared, "Mass immigration has been followed by several major problems."   She noted an explosion in crime and gang activity, civil unrest, and welfarism. "Sweden today is a completely different country than it was in the late 1900s," she observed.

Organized crime has become a huge problem in Sweden, with almost all of those involved in it being of migrant background, and the country now has the most bombings of any country not at war other than Mexico.  Sweden used to be one of the safest countries in Europe but now a leading German newspaper calls Sweden "the most dangerous country in Europe."  Sexual assaults by migrants have also become a big problem with 99 of the 112 people convicted of gang rape last year being of a migrant backgrouns.
