Switzerland to vote on referendum to limit population in bid to stop mass migration | Eastern NC Now

after successful petition drive by populist right Swiss Peoples Party

ENCNow

Switzerland will conduct a referendum of Swiss voters on limiting the county's population to 10 million until 2050 after the populist / nationalist right Swiss Peoples Party succeeded in obtaining enough petition signatures to force the referendum.  Switzerland's current population exceeds 9 million, and the Constitutional amendment that would result from passage of the referendum would require the government to take action if the population reaches nine and a half million.  Action required would include denial of residency permits to foreigners, dropping out of migration treaties with the EU and UN,, and denial of Swiss citizenship to foreigners.

The staunchly anti-immigration Swiss Peoples Party has been the largest party in the Swiss parliament for over two decades, and further increased its vote share significantly in the most recent election.

American conservatives need to come up with referendum questions in our states to put on the ballot to frustrate the open borders traitors. About half the states, but not NC, have the initiative and referendum process.

Wrapping this referendum in the "sustainability" mantra of the globalists and the environmentalists is a very clever political touch. There are clearly some smart strategists at the swiss Peoples Party.
