The highly respected non-partisan Cook Political Report has moved the North Carolina governors race from its "lean Democrat" category to the "toss up" category. Its analysts cited polling and fundraising data to support changing its analysis of the race. The race pits GOP Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson against Democrat far left Attorney General Josh Stein. Multiple polls are showing the race tied, and Robinson has now raised more money than any previous GOP candidate for governor.
