    Mr. Delon Hodges Buck, age 77, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    Mr. Buck was born on July 7, 1935 to Jesse B. Buck and Velma Hodges Buck. He graduated from Chocowinity High School in 1953. Mr. Buck was a retired car salesman.

    He married the former Olga Jean Dixon on October 24, 1953, who survives.

    Mr. Buck is survived by his wife, OIga Jean Dixon Buck; daughter, Brenda B. Phillips and husband James; son, Joe T. Buck and son in law, Douglas Chrismon, six grandchildren, Jim Phillips, Caroline Phillips, Meredith B. Rawls, Taylor Buck, Erica Chrismon and Alison Chrismon; five sisters, Vivian B. Elks, Janice B. Boyd, Evelyn B. Buck, Pearl B. Moore, and Carolyn B. Williams and two brothers, Franklin Buck and Jimmy Buck. In addition to his parents, Mr. Buck was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheri B. Chrismon; two brothers, Joe Buck and Ted Buck; two sisters, Laura B. Elks and Alene B. Mills and his beloved in laws, Pearlie and Henry Dixon.

    The family will receive friends at the home, 414 Lawson Road, Washington.

    Private graveside services will be held at Oakdale Cemetery.
