Rodger Earl Cratch | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Rodger Earl Cratch, age 79, a resident of Plymouth, NC died Saturday June 29, 2024.

    A memorial service for Rodger will be held at a later date.

    Mr. Cratch was born in Beaufort County on October 3, 1944, son of the late Richard Alexander Cratch and Gladys Irene Cratch. Rodger proudly served in the US Army and fought during the Vietnam War. He married the former Kathleen Smalley on October 6, 2001, who survives. Mr. Cratch worked for Weyerhaeuser Company in the electrical and instrumentation department for 38 years. Rodger enjoyed hunting, fishing, fixing things, and riding his Harley Davidson. He was a member of Plymouth Church of Christ and Red Hill Hunting Club.

    Survivors along with his wife include his children: Beverly Allen, Robert Blair and wife Alicia of Carson VA, Russell Blair and wife Angelicia of Kill Devil Hills NC, Randall Blair and wife Cameron of Benson NC; and grandchildren: Sara Allen, Shelby Allen, Nicholas Blair, Noah Blair, Aidan Blair, Liam Blair, Elijah Blair and Lauren Blair. Mr. Cratch was predeceased along with his parents, brothers, sisters, and two children: Kathleen Blair and Bradley Cratch.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Plymouth Church of Christ, 905 Washington Street, Plymouth, NC, 27962.
