former Clinton advisor calls for investigation of ABC News for debate rigging against Trump | Eastern North Carolina Now

even Democrat activists can see ABC's hanky panky

ABC News' rigging of the presidential debate was so blatant that even Democrat political activists can see it.  Former Clinton political advisor Mark Penn, currently a Democrat pollster, has called for an investigation of ABC News for rigging the debate against Donald Trump.  It has also now come out that moderator Linsey Davis is a sorority sister of Kamala Harris, something ABC failed to reveal before the debate.

"I actually think they should do a full internal investigation, hire an outside law firm. I don't know how much of this was planned in advance", Penn told John Solomon's Just the News. "I don't know how much they told the Harris campaign.  I think the day after suspicion here is really quite high, and I think a review of all their internal texts and emails should really be done by an independent party."

Penn pointed to the propensity of the moderators to "fact check" Trump while allowing Harris to make a large number of questionable statements without any intervention.  That was a smoking gun of bias, and much of their "fact checking" of Trump involved asserting someone else's opinion against Trump's opinion, so it was really spinning instead of "fact checking".

Penn has also co-written an op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal with Democrat former New York city council president Andrew Stein declaring that ABC News through their political bias in the debate deprived American voters of a fair presidential debate.

Moderator Linsey Davis, whose facial expressions revealed her personal dislike of Trump, told the Los Angeles Times that the two moderators and ABC News worked together to work up responses to Trump's points, but the same was not done for Harris.  This is an admission of a double standard and debate rigging.  Davis, herself, told lies when she tried to accuse Trump of inaccurate statements.  It turns our Trump was accurate and she was not.

Actually, I will add that Stan deserves a lot of credit for publishing people , like myself and some others, with whom he disagrees. For that, Stan has earned my respect.

Over at the DR, when things got hot on their online comment section, the white rich and powerful convinced Burns to shut it down. The Manning - Pollard case being the last straw. In that case the DR wouldn't touch the story, however, citizens were happy to speak truth to power on the chat board and expose the sh*t show the Pitt County Sheriffs Department had turned into. Manning lost his election and Pollard went to jail. The DR missed an incredible opportunity to practice journalism but the good ol boy network was too strong.

Almost.

What has happened in the newspaper business is that the ideologues are pushng out the journalists. For example, the Washington Post for years was sort of garden variety liberal but generally made an effort to tell both sides, until the family that had owned it for years sold it to leftwing oligarch Jeff Bezos, and now it is hard left, virtually unreadable. Some call it the Bezos Post. Similarly, the Raleigh News and Observer and Charlotte Observer were garden variety liberal, but told both sides enough that they were worth reading, but now the hard left California-based McClatchy Newspapers has bought both and turned them into mini-Pravdas. Readable old-style liberal newspapers have been turned into progressive propaganda rags, indeed cesspools.

Due to cost, most smaller papers in America abandoned journalism a long time ago. Reputable publications, like for example the Daily Reflector, publish stories written by journalists who work for larger publications that can afford to pay them.

That paper publishes a reputable mix of both right and left. But never a shmuck like Alex Jones.

On another front-looks like M Robinson is out. Now that’s journalism.

I guess then that you would claim that the "International Herald Tribune" is not a newspaper because all of its articles are verbatim from either the "Washington Post" or the "New York Times", and that it is not "journalism".

Running a cut and paste website is not journalism. Nothing wrong with it. But journalism? No

I dont know how any reasonable person could claim Stan is not a journalist. Those being jerks about this should look in a mirror.

Journalist - Wikipedia
"A journalist is a person who gathers information in the form of text, audio or pictures, processes it into a newsworthy form and disseminates it to the public through various media outlets, including newspapers, magazines, television, radio, and online platforms. Journalists inform the public about current events, issues, and developments, serving as watchdogs of government and institutions and facilitating democratic discourse. This is called journalism."

Any medium has both quality and lack of quality, and always has. But the left's desire for political censorship of the internet is pure totalitarianism, no different than Hitler or Stalin.

An uncensored internet is what it is. Journalistically, its a cesspool. I am always amazed at those that cant tell the difference.

Stan, I was just being nice. Again, you appear to be a successful human being, just not a journalist.

Life is complex and interesting. Although I doubt you would ever admit it, you no more have this life figured out than the flea on my dogs butt. Truth is, none of us do. A wise man understands this and shows a little humility in the face of the storm ahead. As always, wishing you the best.

Lindsey Davis, David Muir and BB have the journalistic standards of Squealer from Animal Farm.

The 24 hour news cycle. It is killing us. SR you make some good points, just remember it’s a two way street. The far right including the BO does the exact same thing.

I would argue that to be a journalist, one must answer to an editor or editorial board. The far right has sought to discredit media who wont drink the kool-aid but none of their media answers to anybody.
So although both sides are slanted, the far right just makes it up.
