One longtime dirty trick in politics is stealing opponents campaign signs. Democrats have had a major embarassment when Lowell Simon, who is both Moore County Democrat Party chairman and Democrat nominee for the NC House in Moore County was arrested by the county sheriff's department for stealing Trump for President signs from along the roadway.
A Moore County deputy was on another call when he observed Simon removing the signs and recognized him. After dealing with that call, he swung by Simon's house and the stolen Trump signs were still there in Simon's car. He arrested Simon, who was booked, mugshotted, and released on his own recognisance.
