    Mrs. Odessa Lupton Jones Ford, age 95, a resident of 280 North Sixth Street, Aurora, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at her home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 3, 2013 at White Hill Cemetery, Aurora, conducted by Rev. Eddie Gabbert and Rev. Earl Sadler.

    Mrs. Ford was born in Hobucken, N.C. October 18, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Walter Linsey Lupton and Mary Eliza Hopkins Lupton. Mrs. Ford owned and operated Dessa’s Beauty Shop in Aurora for over 40 years. She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. Mrs. Ford was married to Marshall Jones, who proceeded in death, December 18, 1981. Later, she married Arthur B. Ford, who has also preceded her in death.

    Mrs. Ford is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth “Lib” Litchfield of Aurora, Joyce Rice of Mt. Olive, N.C.; one sister, Verona Swindell of Reelsboro, N.C.; four grandsons; five great grandchildren and Mr. Ford’s children.

    In addition to her parents and her husbands, Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

    The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Lib Litchfield, 424 7th Street, Aurora.
