Will Budd and Tillis sell out conservatives on Senate Majority Leader vote Wednesday? | Eastern North Carolina Now

McConnell stepping down but McConnelites are running to replace him

ENCNow

"China Mitch" McConnell in his role as GOP Senate leader has been a backstabber who has colluded over and over with both Obama and Biden.  It is a relief to see him finally go.  However in the race for the new Senate majority leader to be held Wednesday two McConnellites are running against one conservative, and there are indications that both of our NC senators may sellout conservatives.

In the McConnell camp are his longtime alter ego and lap puppy Senator John Thune of South Dakota and Texas wimp Sen. John Cornyn.  Both have disappointed conservatives on issues ranging from gun control to immigration to overspending. In Cornyn's case, he betrayed the grassroots so bad that delegates to his own state Republican convention loudly booed him.  Against this pair of useless wannabees, running on the conservative side is Senator Rick Scott of Florida.

Thune or Cornyn would be little more than a continuation of McConnell's long list of betrayals.  Yet some of those counting votes for the election Wednesday are counting Thom Tillis for Thune and Ted Budd for Cornyn.

Elon Musk is backing Rick Scott, calling Thune "the top choice of the Democrats."

Conservatives are urged to call or email the offices of Tillis and especially Budd and ask them to vote conservative for Rick Scott.

You can also send Budd a message on his website urging him to vote for Rick Scott, which is what I have done.

"Rick Scott is profoundly the best choice to push forward the Trump agenda." It's too bad Budd doesn't already know this. Tillis is a lost cause. The vote on Wednesday will tell us everything.

We need to all call Sen. Ted Budd at 202-224-3154 and urge him to vote for Rick Scott, or at his NC office, 336-941-4470. Cornyn or Thune would be as big a disaster as McConnell has been.
