Republicans retain House control after winning Senate and Presidency | Eastern NC Now
219 seats now called for GOP
With 218 seats needed for a majority, 219 seats in the US House of representatives have now been called for Republicans, and 209 for Democrats. Republican candidates lead in three more districts which they are expected to win which would leave the House at 222 Republicans and 213 Democrats.

This follows a significant GOP win in the presidential race and flipping control of the US Senate, which will now be 53 Republicans and 47 Democrats.
There is however, a controversy arising over the Senate count in Nevada, where the GOP lead disappeared when election officials suddenly deleted almost 27,000 ballots that had already been counted in two urban counties.
