Dorothy Mae Arnold Paul | Eastern NC Now

    Dorothy Mae Arnold Paul, age 85, a resident of Pinetown, NC died Sunday November 24, 2024, at ECU Health Medical Center Beaufort Campus.

    A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday December 3, 2024, in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and will be officiated by her son Phillip Paul.

    The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Tuesday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory.

    Mrs. Paul was born in Pitt County on June 9, 1939, to the late Joseph Golden Arnold and Letha Mae Arnold. On December 23, 1959, she married Marlow Paul. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She spent over twenty years as a dental assistant in Washington. Mrs. Paul and her husband enjoyed entertaining and cooking meals for friends and family, especially seafood. During the last years of her life, she served as a caregiver for her husband, doing an excellent job at it.

    Survivors include two sons, Jay Paul and wife Tammy of Bath, Phillip Paul and wife Sharon of Pantego. Jay and Tammy have three children and two grandchildren. Phillip and Sharon have five children, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

    She is preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Golden Arnold, Ronnie Paul Arnold, and James Stanley Arnold.
