The reputation of the FBI has fallen dramatically from the high regard Americans once held for it. Indeed a poll earlier this year found that a majoriy of Americans agreed with the contention that "the FBI is Biden's personal Gestapo". Obviously, new leadership is needed to reform the FBI back to what it used to be for so many decades and take the politics out of it. The current FBI Director, Christopher Wray has been part of the problem at the bureau.
President Trump has nominated a dynamic new leader for the FBI who has the skill set to bring it back to its former high and non-political standards. Kash Patel is the son of ethnic Indian parents who fled Kenya due to the authoritarian dictatorship that suppressed the rule of law there (one wonders if he is related to high ranking small "c" British Conservative Priti Patel, whose family also fled Kenya about the same time). Patel's background includes extensive experience in both the legislative and executive branches of federal government, where he has established an excellent reputation for management and for getting to the bottom of problems.
The Wall Street Journal has published an excellent piece on why Kash Parel is the right choice to lead the FBI:

There is a reason why a solid majority of Americans told pollsters they agree with the statement that "the FBI has become Biden's personal Geatapo." That does indeed need to be dealt with and firmly.

Really?
Honestly, you deserve everything Caligula us going to do to you. |
The real issue now is who is objective and honest to do badkground checks. Certainly NOT the highly partisan politically weaponized FBI which "Follows Biden's Instructions". That is what the letters FBI now stand for, something that Kash Patel needs to change and get it back to an honest non-political agency.

As long as his background check comes back clean. Caligula's track record so far, not so good.
