Larceny in the Pinetown Area | Eastern NC Now

For Immediate Release:

    On June 14, 2013 at approximately 7:24 am, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a larceny of a utility trailer from a residence on Biggs Road in Pinetown. Deputies and Investigators responded to the scene and began an investigation. Investigators conducted interviews and located the stolen utility trailer at a residence in Martin County.

    As a result of information and evidence gathered during the investigation, Investigator Scott Williams applied for and obtained warrants charging Edward Lewis Hudson, age 36, of Briggs Avenue in Pinetown and Tammy Smith Latham, age 38, of Briggs Avenue in Pinetown with Felony Larceny and Obtaining Property by False Pretense. Inv. Williams also obtained warrants charging Russell Rhodes Roberson, age 70, of Ballard Road in Williamston, NC and Joyce Diane Roberson, age 64, of Ballard Road in Williamston, NC with Felony Possession of Stolen Property and Obtaining Property by False Pretense.




    On July 30, 2013, the Robersons were arrested by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and released on $5,000.00 unsecured bonds. On August 1, 2013, Hudson was served while being held in the Pamlico County Detention Center on unrelated charges and held on an additional $2,000.00 secured bond. On August 9, 2013, Latham was served while being held in the Lenoir County Detention Center on unrelated charges and received an additional $10,000.00 secured bond. The utility trailer was recovered and returned to the victim.
