    John Robert Flowers, age 75 a resident of Chocowinity, died Sunday, December 29, 2024, at his home.

    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Union Chapel FWB Church with Josh Farley officiating.

    John was born on August 15, 1949, in Florence, SC to the late Robert Nafue Flowers and Vivian Jeanett Matthews Flowers. He graduated from Pamlico, SC High School, and was US Army Veteran. In March of 1983 he married Lillian Hardy who survives. John retired in 2005 as a lineman from the power company. He, along with his wife Lillian, owned and operated Foxes Pizza Den in Chocowinity for 13 years. John was a member of the Union Chapel FWB Church we he served in the choir. He loved gardening and fishing. John was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Flowers, and his brother-in-law Eddie Belflower.

    Survivors include his wife, Lillian Hardy Flowers of the home, children, Karen Jordan of Florence, SC, Kevin Flowers (Eva) of Texas, and Jeannette Waters (Lee) of Chocowinity, his newest daughter, Angie Ramsay of Chocowinity, sister, Pat Belflower of Pamlico, SC, sister in law, Wanda Flowers of Pamlico, SC, grandchildren, fourteen, great grandchildren, eighteen, and his beloved dog, "Stumpy".

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
