Roy Cooper and Kay Hagan Sic the DOJ on their Constituents | Eastern North Carolina Now

Publisher's note: Considering that the vapid Kay Hagan and the pathetic Roy Cooper got their expressed wish that North Carolina be sued over its new Photo Voter ID law by the scandalous Eric Holder, we shall run this opinion piece near the top of our home page for a while.

What is behind North Carolina's senior Liberals siccing the DOJ on their Constituents?

Strange behavior can always be found in politicians, you just got to know where to look. The fertile ground for discovering weird is when governing smacks up against an inflection point, like when the Tea Party found its sturdy legs in political advocacy, when Liberals bagged ObamaCare to rally their liberal minded constituents around a common cause - to further the United States toward Socialism.

In that endeavor for North Carolina Liberals, no elected politicians were more active to forward the promise of ObamaCare than U.S. Senator Kay Hagan, and North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper. For Senator Hagan's part, she has blindly voted as dictated by Democrat Leaders Harry Reid and Charles Schumer on all issues held liberal, especially ObamaCare. Attorney General Roy Cooper defied the wishes of North Carolina's General Assembly and rallied around Candidate Obama to not only choose to not join our neighboring states to the north and south, and the other 27 states, most predominately "red states", to defeat ObamaCare in the federal courts and instead chose to defend the Candidate's signature legislation here in North Carolina.

Alternately, the breadth of the loosely assimilated Tea Party groups unanimously opposed the ObamaCare legislation, not because they were commanded to; as good little Democrats Roy Cooper and Kay Hagan are want to accommodate that demand for a Socialist ideology, but rather to instead ward off the freedom denying vestiges of collective management by a central power.

And what does the OMG (Obama Media Group) do in reporting on the Tea Party's united front against creeping Socialism? They are labled racists for their ideological beliefs.

Fast forward 3 years to now, with ObamaCare an unmitigated failure in its implementation, and North Carolina's two most senior Democrats, who passionately defended this legislation then and now, are throwing around buzz phrases that North Carolina's governor, Pat McCroy, "is on the wrong side of history" for signing NC legislation HB 589 into law.

With North Carolina finally moving to join 29 other states that already have Photo Voter ID, and the tepid glare of the OMG fixed upon North Carolina, these two senior representatives are struggling mightily to remain true to the nebulous wishes of those "low information" voters that constitute their block voting base, rather than, at best, to represent all North Carolinians as we move forward along a well lit path, or, at the worst, just keep your mouths shut and do your jobs that your are elected and paid to do.
Senator Kay Hagan speaks to the North Carolina Delegation of County Commissioners, but failed to mention that she believed that the DOJ should enjoin a lawsuit against North Carolina, should the NC General Assembly pass legislation streamlining voting procedures to reflect a real world perspective: Above.     photo by Stan Deatherage

Instead, the state's top lawyer sends out campaign "News Releases" condemning the Governor's action, intimating that, even though he takes home a paycheck to represent the state, that he will not do so. On the other hand, North Carolina's junior senator, Kay Hagan, is wagging her tongue to anyone from the OMG that will listen and record her commentary, and then to top that off, sends a letter to the "Honorable Attorney General Eric Holder" that he must investigate North Carolina's new election law, which is Liberal code for this utterly corrupt U.S. Attorney General to sue North Carolina, her constituents.

    Do I appear incredulous?

Well I am, and you would be too unless you are, per chance, one of those proud "low information" voters that well approve of the complete unprincipled behavior of these two elected Democrats. If this level of public service is what you approve of in your publicly paid public officials, then I have probably angered you, and I absolutely do not care.

At the risk of further angering those that support this sorry brand of politician, by continuing to vote for their unprincipled intellect to continue as they assuredly will, let me end with this comment that I made to another publication on this issue, which well offers my complete opinion in summation:

I suppose the junior senator and the unchallengable North Carolina Attorney General feel quite content in their political playhouse, where talking and acting stupid is a badge of honor.

poll#44
Should North Carolina continue to end voter fraud or should North Carolina coddle protected classes since powerful Democrats believe that this class of the electorate cannot function as normal people do?
30.04%   No, protected classes of our citizenry deserve special dispensations.
39%   Yes, the act of voting is a right for all of our citizens and voter fraud negates that right.
30.96%   I don't vote because it isn't fun.
2,810 total vote(s)     Voting has Ended!

One more thing, since we're talking about severe stupidity: Why did the NC GOP allow this NC AG Boob to go unchallenged in the last election, when they solidly had their greasy fingerprints on other seats that were, obviously, way above their level of comprehension.

The North Carolina Republican Party has been a complete joke for at least the last 10 years, and the people that would give those bimbos money to elect their favorites establishment guys are almost as stupid as those that would blindly vote for a Kay Hagan or a Roy Cooper.

If you truly want to save this Republic, this state: get involved, keep your money, work for smart good principled candidates, and then contribute to people you know, trust.

Working together, we can make a difference.
