Born: September 26, 1942 - August 14, 2013

    Karl Preston Fagans, age 70, a resident of the Cypress Landing Community, Chocowinity, NC passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Vidant Service Inpatient Hospice. There will be a celebration of his life Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 5:30 PM in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service. The family will receive friends following the service at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC.

    Karl was born September 26, 1942 in Flushing, NY son of the late Allen and Adrienne Lange Fagans. On August 21, 1965 he married Amy D'Lag Fagans who survives. Karl was a Executive Vice President of Operations and Real Estate for Arthur D. Little, Inc. in Cambridge, MA.

    In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Peter Fagans of New York City and Douglas Fagans of Chicago; his daughter, Heather Fagans of Wallkill, NY; his sisters, Barbara Roser of Memphis, TN and Nancy Fachman of Water Valley, MS; and his grandchildren, Weston, Allison, Paul and Anna Fagans.

    In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Brain Support Network (www.brainsupportnetwork.org).
