Bass approval rating tanks

ENCNow

Exposure of mulitple levels of local and state government incompetence in handling wildfire preparation and fire response is having a political impact in California according to a recent poll of likely Los Angeles voters.   Mayor Karen Bass has seen her approval rating fall to 37%.  Asked who they would vote for in a hypothetical rematch with her opponent from the last election, only 36% said they would vote for Bass.  While only 18% of Los Angeles voters are registered Republican 43% said they would consider voting Republican for city offices.  Voters thought politicians should lose their jobs over fire hydrants running dry and resevoirs being empty and blamed one party politics for the problem.
