Quinnipiac poll: GOP in Congress hits record approval; Dems record low | Eastern North Carolina Now

good Congressional start for Republicans

ENCNow

The public seems to look with more favor on Congressional Republicans than Congressional Democrats according to a new poll from Quinnipiac.  Quinnipiac is historically a poll whose results tend to tilt to the left of other polls which makes this an even bigger win for Republicans

In the latest national Quinnipiac poll of likely 2026 voters, only 21% said they approved of the way Democrats in Congress were doing their jobs, compared to 40% who approved the way Congressional Republicans were handling their jobs.  On the flip side, 68% of voters dissapprove of the way Democrats in Congress are handling their jobs compared to 52% who  disapprove of Republican Congressional job performance.

That is the highest Quinnipiac has ever recorded for Republicans and the lowest it has ever recorded for Democrats.
