Jesse “Ray” White Jr. | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Jesse "Ray" White, Jr., age 54, a resident of Blounts Creek, NC died Monday February 24, 2025.

    A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 2, 2025, at Core Point Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Neal Cox and Pastor David Linton. Burial will follow in the Spivey Family Cemetery in Blounts Creek.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday March 1, 2025, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington and other times at the home.

    Ray was born in Beaufort County on December 18, 1970, son of Jesse Ray White, Sr. who survives and the late Gloria Jean Carawan White. He attended Aurora High School. Ray loved that he could stay local and work for Nutrien Phosphate, where he was a heavy equipment operator. At a young age he developed a love for riding ATV's which led him to learn how to work on them. Ray also loved fishing. On December 10, 2000, he married the former Araceli Ojeda Gomez. Due to his love for the water, he became a certified scuba diver. Ray was a member of Core Point Free Will Baptist Church.

    Surviving along with his wife Araceli of the home are his sons: Jeffrey Ray White and Joshua Tyler White both of Blounts Creek; his father and stepmother: Jesse Ray White, Sr. and Elizabeth White; nieces and nephews: Jesse Lee White, Brianna Rayn White, Michael Justin White, and Stephen White; great nieces and nephews: Sabria Marie Dixon, Samona Rayne Dixon, and Miles Mason White; and an uncle and aunt: Melvin Lee White and June White. Ray was predeceased, along with his mother by a sister: Kimberly Marie White.
