    Where: Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters, at the foot of the bridge on Hwy 64, Columbia (adjacent to Rest Acre)

   •  Build Your Own Fishing Cane Pole - Materials provided for youth to make their own fishing cane poles, followed by ......

   •  Let's Go Fishing - On the Boardwalk with their new Bamboo Fishing Cane - for the youth and young at heart - join in on this nature adventure

   •  Pinecone Bird Feeders - Create your own backyard bird feeder

   •  Canoe Rides - Enjoy a canoe ride on the Scuppernong River - provided by Pettigrew State Park

   •  Archery - Learn skills of Archery - provided by Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge

   •  Special Visitor - Smoky the Bear & Educational Activities - provided by NC Forest Service

   •  Additional Booths & Activities

   •  12:30 - Documentary of Pocosin Lakes NWR - inside the Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters Visitors Center - a documentary featuring the wonders of nature of Pocosin Lakes NWR, the documentary is filmed and produced by Mr. Blake Scott of Star Trak Studios of Washington, NC, following the documentary, you will have the opportunity to personally meet & have a Q&A time with Mr. Blake Scott.

   •  Tours: On-going from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm - Red Wolf Education & Healthcare Facility - View the resident Red Wolves (Hank & Betty) - provided by Red Wolf Coalition

   •  Nature Trail Walk - Scuppernong River Interpretive Boardwalk

   •  Old Fashion Hot Dog - $1.00
