In his first month in office, President Trump has achieved the lowest number of illegal alien border crossing since the records started to be kept. All America needed was a president who would enforce the immigration laws we already have, not the stupid and unnecessary laws Biden and his alllies put forth that would actually have made things worse. The bills Biden wanted would have actually codified many of his open borders policies.
For Feburary 2024, only 8,253 illegal alien border crossings were documented, and those were turned around and sent back. Under Biden, February 2024 saw 189,913 illegal alien border crossings. In 2023 it was 156,630, and in 2022 it was 166.010.
President Trump has reimposed the strict executive orders from his first term on border issues, that Biden had ended. He has also sent over 4,000 active duty troops to the border and started rebuilding the border wall. The very active deportation campaign conducted by ICE under Border Czar Tom Homan is also a big deterent to illegal aliens to try to get in.

Hopefully the Oklahoma GOP will continue its policy of shunning Lankford. Lankford postured as a Tea Party Republican to win his Congressional seat, but quickly became an establishment hack once he got to DC. In his first Senate primary, he was the establishment's candidate against the black conservative Speaker of teh state House who was backed by the national conservative PACs.
