Elmon Grady Creech | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Elmon Grady Creech, age 86, a resident of Washington, NC died Monday April 21, 2025 at Washington County Hospital.

    The family will be celebrating his life set at a later date. He enjoyed family gatherings so much so that this is the way we will say goodbye to our beloved father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, uncle and best friend.

    Mr. Creech was born in Johnston County on October 1, 1938 to the late Elmer Eddison Creech and Ruth Hinnant Creech. He served his Country in the US Navy, was a long haul truck driver as a career for many years and he also spent some of his career working at fishing and boating marina's. Boats, rivers, lakes, ponds, oceans and fishing was a great passion of his.

    He was preceded in death by his wife Faye Creech, a brother Shannon Creech and a sister, Mary Ann Jefferson.

    Survivors are his four children, son Grady "Dewayne" Creech wife Angie Creech with grandson Adam Creech of Pantego, daughter Sheila Creech Clayton of Greenville with grandson Teddy Clayton of Pinetown, Rhonda Creech Williams husband Bryan Williams of Pantego with granddaughter Tonya Williams of Hyde County and grandson BJ Williams of Pinetown, son Michael Louis Creech wife Lisa Creech of Plymouth with grandsons Christopher Horton of Plymouth and Brandon Horton of Greenville and granddaughters Tiffany Creech of Plymouth and Heather Creech of Pinetown- Along with his four children was the mother of his children Doris Scrase whom he loved, respected and adored and his great grandchildren and three great great granddaughters.

    He is also survived by his sisters Elmer Ruth Grant of Pantego and Betty Lou Stanley of Fayetteville, which reminds us that their brother "Grady did enjoy some gambling occasionally also!!"
