The Importance of Being Present

Recent elections have shown us that one or two votes can swing an election.  The same thing is true about showing up to protest the S. W. Snowden School closing in Aurora.

There is a “Community Forum” scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 at 6:00 PM at the Chocowinity Primary School.  Public opinion is best shown by having a large crowd present with a lot of speakers.  Strike a blow for better education by showing up and speaking.

There is a Special Called Board of Education Meeting for Thursday, May 1 at 6:00 PM at S. W. Snowden School in Aurora.  Again, the more people who show up and speak the better.  This meeting is important because it is the meeting required to be held by law.  This is the meeting that public complaints will be entered into the record.  Attend this meeting to stop the evils of school consolidation.

Unfortunately, that figures. Cheeseman has never liked transparency or public involvement in decision making. That was shown by the bizarre and controlling way he handled the last meeting at Aurora. It is also shown by his failure to follow NC statute on public hearings on his scheme to consolidate Eastern and Tayloe into Cheeseman's Folly monster elementary school. Cheeseman patterns his power plays after the Deep State.

Even if you are not from Chocowinity, it is good to show up tonight.

It appears the Special Called Board of Education Meeting for Thursday, May 1 at 6:00 PM at S.W. Snowden School in Aurora has been cancelled for now. If and when it is rescheduled it will probably be on short notice. People need to continue paying attention.

Latest Governing Beaufort County

Has the local government acted responsibly and transparently?
Beaufort County Commissioners meet, and work by a majority vote to do the business of those constituents they purport to represent.
Waste, fraud, abuse and incompetence continue to govern county school budgets and decision making.

However, if one believes that Beaufort County government is in full command of the issues of our times, here locally, one might need to steel their resolve for a more perfect understanding of the intellect possessed by the Center-Left /Left Coalition.
To borrow a big phrase from this salient plan originating at the federal level, under President Trump's watchful eye, whose time has finally arrived, even here in the mispent realm of Beaufort County government(s).
When President Trump professes "America First," he absolutely means it to his core, and to our benefit as a Representative Republic, which is a welcome change from the previous administration of Idiot President Biden; America's second Non Patriot President.
We must vet, and elect those who will actually represent the people or we will be stuck with the same mess we have now.
