Ed Martin as US Attorney for the District of Columbia is already making a huge difference in fighting crime. In DC his office handles local criminal courts as well as federal offenses. Unlike his woke Biden predecessor, Martin is locking up the criminals. Since he has been on the job, the criminals have gotten the message and crime has dropped 25% in just under 4 months.
But it is not just run of the mill criminals. The US Attorney for DC is also the point man in prosecuting government corruption and that appears to be what has Tillis' panties in a twist. Martin is investigating government corruption, and that is likely to lead straight to the door of Tillis' Deep State buddies and perhaps Tillis himself.
DOGE has found a lot of material on Deep State misdeeds. Now we need a prosecutor to investigate that criminally. That is what scares Tillis to death. This 11th hour stab in the back is designed to give a Democrat that slot through Boasberg.

If he had the objection he claims to have, he would have known it from the beginning, so why did he wait so long if not to screw his own party? Those articles show his objection is nonsense, anyway.

Some NC Republican districts are "extending and clarifying" their censures of Thom Tillis. If the NCGOP does not deal with the Tillis problem, we will be doomed in the next senate election.

That video says it all. Tillis does not want a DC US Atty. investigating the Deep State and the Democrats. He would rather have one appointed by Boasberg who would target Trump. Thom Tillis is a despicable traitor and needs to be hounded out of office.
If he was going to jump ship on Ed Martin, waiting until the 11th hour to do it makes this all the much worse, as it almost assures the Democrats will get this key position. I have always voted against Tillis in primaries but then held my nose for him in the general election. I can no longer hold my nose for this disgusting traitor. Better to be stuck with a Democrat who at least stabs us in the front than a backstabbing Benedict Arnold like Thom Tillis. |

Trump has had to pull the nomination to try to thwart Boasberg making the pick. Hopefully he still can, but even if he can Tillis' action to protect the Deep State will greatly delay the process of investigating and prosecuting Deep State corruption.
Tillis represents the Deep State, NOT NC Republican voters.
