    Wanda Love Edwards "Memaw" "Boogie" Williams, age 83, a resident of Belhaven, NC died Monday May 19, 2025 at her son's home.

    A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday May 22, 2025, at Trinity Methodist Church in Belhaven and will be officiated by Cris Noble.

    Boogie was born on April 4, 1942, to the late Carl Calvin Edwards and Lillian Guthrie Edwards. On October 14, 1967, she married Samuel Shelton Williams. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church where she served in the choir. Boogie worked for over 30 years at Walgreens in Belhaven and worked for Farm Boys. She enjoyed word search puzzles and sitting with her dogs

    Survivors include; a son, Tony Williams and wife Lisa of Belhaven; a daughter, Sabra Askew of Greenville; three grandchildren, Shaye Kalmowitz (Todd), Drew Williams, Grayson Askew; three step grandchildren, Emily Armstrong, Austin Armstrong (Jordan), Joshua Spruill, Jr.; three great grandchildren, Marshall, Mitchell, Madison; five step great grandchildren, Haylee, Lillie, Allie, Maxwell, Brady Beau; a sister, Janice Carlene Styons and husband Raymond of Winston-Salem, a brother-in-law, David Lassiter; Tony Nixon (Tony 2), Jolly Slade; her beloved sidekicks, Abigail and Dino aka Yappy several nieces and nephews and many friends.

    She is preceded in death by her husband, Shelton Williams, and a brother, Charles Calvin "Skipper" Edwards.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday May 21, 2025, at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Belhaven Fire Department, Trinity Methodist Church or to a charity of your choice.
