    Joanna Dawn Masters, age 54, a resident of Washington, died Saturday, June 7, 2025, from natural causes at her home.

    A memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Joanna was born on December 7, 1970, in Beaufort County, to Edith Adams Mason and the late Richard Charles Masters. She was a graduate of Washington High School and had obtained a bachelor's degree in nursing. Joanna owned and operated a janitorial service; she loved cleaning and cooking, arts, and crafts. She was an avid gardener and loved growing flowers. She loved her children and grandchildren. Joanna was a very caring person and loved making gifts and giving them to people. She attended Harvest Church. Joanna was preceded in death by her sister Lisa Christine Murdock.

    Survivors include her children, William James Craig, III (Sandy Lynn Wilson) of Washington, Maggie Jo Craig (Brighton M. Mills) of Greenville, and Leah Grace Craig (Chase Cannon) of Grifton), her mother, Edith Mason of Washington, grandchildren, Abby Craig, Eli Craig, Nolan Craig and Hazel Mills, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
