John Graham Singleton of Garner passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025. He was the son of the late John Henry Singleton and Agnes Gaskins Singleton.

    John Graham Singleton of Garner passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025. He was the son of the late John Henry Singleton and Agnes Gaskins Singleton.

    On June 5, 1960, he married Kathryn Hope Everett. Both Graham and Kathryn were graduates of Washington High School, the class of 1957. Graham was a member of the outstanding Washington Pam Pack football team that played for the State Championship in the Fall of 1956. He then played football at NC State and was a 3-year starter. He was a freshman when the Pack won the 1957 ACC Championship.

    Graham and Kathryn moved to Garner in 1964, where they lived the rest of their lives and raised their two sons. He worked for the State of North Carolina Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and retired from the State in 1994. He was a longtime Wolfpack Club member and supporter. Graham and Kathryn loved spending time with their grandchildren and traveling across the country.

    Graham was predeceased by Kathryn (November 21, 2024), his son Todd "Tootie" Singleton, and his sister Monnia Jay Woolard.

    He is survived by his son, Gra Singleton (with wife Tracey), and grandchildren Rachel Butler (Connor), Harrison Singleton, and Emma Singleton. He is also survived by a sister, Judy Bethard of Mount Carmel, TN.

    Special thanks to Graham's wonderful caregivers the past 18 months at the Fairfax Senior Living facility in Raleigh who cared for him and cooked him his favorite meals.

    The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 17th, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road in Garner, N.C. 27529.

    The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 19th, from 1:00pm to 1:45pm at Paul Funeral Home, 900 John Small Avenue in Washington. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00pm at Oakdale Cemetery, 180 E. 15th Street, Washington, NC 27889. Per Graham's wishes, he will be cremated.
