Dustin Clinton Reiners, age 28, a resident of 114 Vreugdenhil Road, Pantego, died Monday September 23, 2013 at his home after a two and a half year long and difficult battle with Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma, a rare form of liver cancer.

    Dustin Clinton Reiners, age 28, a resident of 114 Vreugdenhil Road, Pantego, died Monday September 23, 2013 at his home after a two and a half year long and difficult battle with Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma, a rare form of liver cancer.

    Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington, conducted by President Bob Deaver of the LDS Church. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington and other times at the home.

    Dustin was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 25, 1984. He was the son of Clint Reiners and Rexine Moosman Reiners. Dustin was a graduate of Carbon High School in Price, Utah. He served his country for four year in the United States Marine Corps. After an honorable discharge, he was a member of the Utah Highway Patrol. After moving to NC, Dustin was employed by the Department of Public Safety, serving as a Correctional Sergeant in Bertie County. Dustin was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In his spare time, he was an avid sports fan and enjoyed all outdoor sports.

    He is survived by his wife, Carrie Lynn Harris Reiners and his two sons, Ty Clinton Reiners (age 5) and Cameron Davis Reiners (age 3) of the home. He is also survived by his parents, Rexine Reiners and Alex Chavez of Wellington, Utah; Carrie's parents Wallace and Cristi Harris of Pantego, brother in law and sister in law, Rick and Kayla Harris of Pinetown and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    Dustin was preceded in death by his only sister, Lori Reiners DeVaney and his cousin, Ty Moosman.
