    Beverly Conyers Leggett, age 80, a resident of Washington, NC died Monday July 28, 2025 at RiverTrace Nursing & Rehabilitation.

    No services will be held at this time.

    Mrs. Leggett was born in Edgecombe County on November 8, 1944 to the late Roy Theodore and Daisy Hale Conyers. On October 5, 1962 she married Cecil Wayne Leggett. She was a 1963 graduate of Tarboro High School. She graduated from Cosmetology School in Greenville. She worked as a beautician with Town & Country Beauty Salon. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church from 1969 until present. Mrs. Leggett enjoyed fishing, spending time with her children and grandchildren.

    Survivors include her husband Cecil W. Leggett, Sr. of the home, three children, a son, Cecil Wayne Leggett, Jr and wife Stephanie of Fayetteville, two daughters, Angie L. Feamstere of Morganton, Susan Levans and husband Lance of Martin, TN, ten grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.

    She is preceded in death by a sister, Susan Conyers Jefferson.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Avenue, Oxford, NC 27565.
