Daily Haymaker gives great analysis of GOP US Senate primary | Eastern NC Now

conservative Don Brown versus RINO Michael Whatley

ENCNow

Republicans will have a US Senate primary in 2026 to fill the seat occupied by liberal Republican Thom Tillis who is retiring.  It features former Navy JAG officer and Assistant US Attorney, Don Brown, now a partner in a Charlotte law firm and a staunch conservative, against Tillis associate and longtime GOPe establishment operative Michael Whatley.  Whatley's employment has been as a junior US Senate staffer and then a longtime partner in a beltway swamp lobbying and public relations firm representing special interests like solar energy grifters.

Brown is a native of Washington County here in eastern North Carolina.

The Daily Haymaker has an excellent analysis of the race:

We all need to get behind Don Brown. Michael Whatley would be Tillis 2.0, and could not beat Cooper anyway.
