Amelia Yvonne Davidson | Eastern NC Now

    After several months of declining health, but with a strong determination to live, Amelia Yvonne Davidson "Little Bit",83, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15th.

    A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, September 19th, at 11:00 am at Oakdale Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 at Paul Funeral Home on Thursday, September 18th.

    Amelia was a native of Beaufort County and attended school in Washington. She worked at Hamilton Beach for many years until her retirement. A woman of faith, she was a devoted member of West End Baptist Church, where she served as secretary, treasurer, and deaconess. She loved singing in the choir and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Thelma Corey Beacham; her husband, William G. Davidson; her sister, Barbara J. Baynor; and a great-nephew, Clay Reid Lilley.

    She is survived by her brother, James "Pete" Beacham; nieces who were like her daughters, nephews and great-nephews who were like her sons, and grandchildren of the heart, along with many friends who were like family to her.

    The family, Pete, Sherry, and Melissa, would like to thank the many friends and family who supported "Aunt Amelia" with prayers and care during the last several months.

    Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made in her memory to West End Baptist Church, Washington, NC.
