    Mrs. Myrtle Lillian Reece Reed, age 78, a resident of 303 Joseph Street, Robersonville died Tuesday morning October 8, 2013 at her home.

    A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday October 12, 2013 at the Gold Point Church of Christ in Robersonville.

    Mrs. Reed was born in Beyers, Colorado on July 19, 1935, daughter of the late John Jacob Reece and Thelma Mae Grippin Reece. She was a 1952 graduate of Garden City High School, Garden City, Kansas. On September 1, 1952, she married Curtis Lavon Reed, Sr. who preceded her in death on April 18, 2013. Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Williamston.

    Mrs. Reed is survived by her children: Anita Reed O'Neal of Robersonville, Curtis Reed, Jr. and wife Diane of Petal, MS and Richard Reed and wife Cheryl of Chocowinity; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; her sister: Roxanna Skaggs of Oroville, CA and her brothers: Donnie Nevin of Holcomb KS, Sydney Nevin of Garden City, Kansas, Finley Nevin of Wichita, KS, Winfort Reece of Golden, CO and Elmer Reece of Golden, CO. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson: Scott O'Neal; her sister: Nellie Pinzenscham and her brothers: Stanley Nevin and Bert Reece.

    The family will receive friends at the home located at 303 Joseph Street, Robersonville.
