    Mr. Larry Gene Wiggins, age 66, a resident of 9637 US Hwy. 17 South, Chocowinity, NC died Sunday October 13, 2013 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC.

    A funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday October 16, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Rev. Henry Horne.

    The family will receive friends 7 PM to 8:30 PM Tuesday October 15, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.

    Mr. Wiggins was born in Beaufort County on August 7, 1947 son of the late Joshua L. Wiggins and the late Elsie Vivian Taylor Wiggins. He was a 1965 graduate of Chocowinity High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and married the former Lynne Moore who survives. Mr. Wiggins was formerly a truck driver who worked with several trucking companies, an electrician with IES Company, formerly Bryant Electric and worked in various jobs in the construction field.

    Surviving along with his wife Lynne of the home is a daughter: Michelle W. Potter and her husband Rayme of Chocowinity; two sisters: Karen W. Rowe and Cheryl W. Afifi both of Chocowinity; six grandchildren: Macon Toler and his wife Lori, Matthew and Dylan Toler, Bethany Potter, Leanna Perry and Rayme Potter, Jr. and a great granddaughter: Peyton Toler. Mr. Wiggins was anticipating the birth of a second great grandchild. He was predeceased by a son: Larry Gene Wiggins, Jr. and a daughter: Teresa Wiggins Dixon.
