EU: populist and traditional right unite to cut climate regulations on business | Eastern NC Now

left pitches a tantrum as bill passes 382 to 249

ENCNow

A bill to slash climate regulation on small and medium business is being seen as a watershed in coalitions in the European Union parliament.  The bill, which was promoted by President Trump, passed 382 to 249.  Trump took an interest in the bill because the EU is attempting to impose their woke agenda on American companies in their supply chain.

In the past a globalist coalition made up of the moderate left, center, and traditional right had dominated the EU parliament.  This bill passed with the traditional right and populist right voting together to support it.  The moderate left is outraged and so are some globalists from the traditional right like German Chancellor Merz.

This bill may indicate a major shift in coalitions in the EU parliament and represented a defeat for EU president Ursula von der Leyden.

It is telling that the EU parliament took this action while the UN's IPCC climate crusade was holding its meeting in Brazil.

This action follows election victories in several national elections within the EU of parties hostile to the EU climate policies.  The most dramatic was in the Czech Republic, where the leading party led by new Prime Minister Andrej Babis made opposition to the EU climate policy which they called "green madness" one of their two major issues.  One of  his two coalition partners is a new party organized specifically to fight against the EU climate policy.

IT is good to see conservatives uniting against the climate hoax in Europe. We have too many establishment Republicans like Thom Tillis, Phil Berger, Michael Whatley, and Tim Moore who align too often with the green left.
