Under Trump, cost of typical Thanksgiving meal drops for first time in years | Eastern NC Now

cost calculated annually by American Farm Bureau

ENCNow

The American Farm Bureau calculates the cost to prepare a typical Thanksgiving dinner for a family gathering of ten people every year prior to the holiday.  This year, the first in Trump's second administration, has found the cost of Thanksgiving dinner down five percent from last year, and the cheapest since 2021.

This shows that the Trump administration is beginning to undo some of the food cost inflation of the Biden years.  Farm Bureau calculations show that the cost of a Thanksgiving dinner increased a total of 24% during the Biden years, but has now fallen 5% in Trump's first year back in office.
