    Hephzibah, GA - Larry Wayne Fleming, 78, loving husband of JoAnn Fleming entered into rest on Monday, December 8, 2025, surrounded by family at his residence.

    Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 2 o'clock with Reverend Erik David Burns officiating.

    Family will receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 1 o'clock until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

    Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

    Retired First Seargeant Larry Fleming, son of the late Tommie Rex Fleming and the late Mary Rouse Fleming, and his late stepfather Gilbert Rumley Elks (Doc), was born in Washington, NC. He attended Washington High School and then voluntarily joined the Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam and Korean war. He took pride in serving his country in the US Army before retiring after 20 years. He was employed with the State of Georgia at ACMI and retired after 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outside working with his hands, he enjoyed building things, loved his family and was a VFW member. He was a former member and a Deacon of Broad Street Baptist Church.

    In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Brad Jones; his sister, Betty Lou Fleming; his brother-in-law, Henry D. Hardison.

    Mr. Fleming is survived by his wife, JoAnn Fleming; his son, Daniel Sanders of Evans, GA; his daughter, Terri Sanders Jones of North Augusta, SC; his grandchildren, Curtis Wayne Stark (Laura), Megan Stark, Natalie Jones; his great grandchildren, Hudson Stark, Henley Stark, Tanner Bailey, all of North Augusta, SC; his siblings, Barbara Ann Boyd (Tommy) of Chocowinity, NC, Tommie Jean Hardison of Frankfort KY; his nieces, Elizabeth Blair Edwards of Chocowinity, NC, Nickie H. Brandenburger of Richmond, VA; his nephew, Gregory D. Hardison of Frankfort, KY.
