Obituary: Franklin John Spilker, Jr. | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Franklin John Spilker, Jr., age 60, a resident of Pamlico River Drive, Washington passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Pamlico Plantation Club House.

    Frank was born in Cuyahoga County, Ohio on May 6, 1950 to the late Franklin John Spilker and Lucile Rose Bieler Spilker who survives. He graduated in 1968 from Padua High School. In 1972 he graduated from Edinboro University and the Mayo Clinic in 1974. Frank was currently employed as a Physical Therapist at Pungo District Hospital and had lived in Beaufort County since 1998. On June 2, 1973 he was married to the former Roberta Louise Boltz who survives.

    In addition to his wife and mother Frank is survived by daughter Meghan Frye and husband Philip of Kennesaw, GA, son Frank Spilker, III and wife Beth Summers of Vicksburg, MS, daughter Mandy Spilker of Dunedin, FL, his grandchildren, Jonathan and Matthew Frye, brother Bill Spilker of North Royalton, OH, and sisters Judi Carmody of Medina, OH and Joanne Barrett of Twinsburg, OH.
