Ronald Gene Miles | Eastern NC Now

    Ronald Gene Miles, age 73 a resident of Washington, died Tuesday January 6, 2026, at ECU Health Medical Center.

    Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory of Washington with Pastor Glenn Crocker officiating. A private burial will follow in Davis Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

    Ronald was born on July 8, 1952, in Montgomery County, MD, to the late Ralph Miles and Pauline Jarvis Miles. He was a graduate of Pantego High School. On June 14, 1980, he married the love of his life Vega Blake. Ronald was a painter at Fountain Power Boats. He previously worked as a farrier at Texas Gulf. Ronald loved horses and old Mopar cars. He loved nature and being outside. Ronald was a previous member of the Merchant Marines and a member of several equine associations. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Miles, Jr.

    Survivors include his wife, Vega Blake Miles of the home, brothers, Danny Miles of Durham, and Tony Miles of Washington.
