Cooper and Stein regimes as bad as Newsome's California
Under Democrat governors Cooper and Stein, North Carolina has been following in the footsteps of Newsome's California in improperly and illegally issuing Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDLs) to foreigners including illegal aliens to drive 18 wheeler trucks. Democrats seem to be Democrats in whatever state in thumbing their noses at our laws. This has become a major issue after a number of fatal crashes caused by unqualified illegal aliens at the wheel of an 18 wheeler.
A review of North Carolina records on non-domiciled CDLs issued in North Carolina found that 54% of them were issued illegally. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy threatened to withhold almost $50 million in federal highway funds if the matter were not corrected and the licenses revoked.
"North Carolina's failure to follow the rules is not just shameful - it's dangerous," Secretary Duffy declared. "I'm calling on state leadership to immediately remove these dangerous drivers from our roads and clean up their system."
