NY jury awards $2 Million to de-transitioner against doctors who removed her breasts | Eastern NC Now

In the first lawsuit by a de-transitioner against doctors who mutilated their bodies as children in gender reassignment surgery to reach a jury, the jury awarded the female victim two million dollars in damages.  The plaintiff, a girl who was told she was a "transgender" boy by doctors, had her breasts removed, permanently disfiguring her.  After realizing that she was actually a girl, not a boy, she sued the doctors involved for malpractice.  This case was heard in New York.

There are many other malpractice lawsuits pending against doctors by de-transitioners.  These cases may do as much as state laws do to stop the practice of genital mutilation of children for "transitioning".  It will make malpractice insurance unaffordable for doctors who engage in these activities.

The British National Health Service has stopped doing gender transition of children as it finds that most gender confused children will naturally grow out of their gender confusion. They recommend that their doctors not even suggest new names or pronouns, much less surgery or drugs.
